Olongapo, my home city, is well known for prostitution.
This stereotyping, however, has a funny twist last Wednesday as witnessed by Jody.
Two young American soldiers were walking along the busy Magsaysay road. They stopped in front of a Muslim selling pirated DVD.
"Debidee sir (I'm making a poor imitation, I know.) GREYT kuwaalite films" said the Muslim pointing to the pornographic flicks he was selling.
"Umm how about women. Do you know where we can get beautiful women?" asked one of the soldiers. Taken aback by the question, probably since the Muslim was not even close to being a pimp, he took the chubby woman beside him and said the following:
"Beyutipul Woman ser? Hir see my wayp. She is beyutipul, isn't she?" Said the Muslim joking.
"I like you, you're funny" said the other soldier. They bought and left the Muslim laughing and feeling happy with his remarks.
hm, i thought that with the bases gone, olongapo would've have cleaned up its act. what gives?
