"Have you ever wondered why so many married couples look so alike." Dana said, as she sorts the folder lying messily on the table. Mulder, jerking away from her sudden motion, smoothly said "Incest?"
"Mulder, your good sense of humor never cease to impress me" She slammed the folders against her partner's chest. Mulder clutched all folders at once: "Ok. So what's your scientific theory behind it?"
"Reincarnation" Dana said as she walks away leaving Mulder smiling with disbelief. It took Mulder a few seconds of thinking before he decided to get up from his seat to follow the smartly walking woman in front of him.
Dana began speaking the moment Mulder caught up. "What if our concept of reincarnation is wrong? What if people can be reincarnated at the same time - meaning the same person living more than one life at a given time? Then meeting themselves, loving themselves then ending up getting married with themselves"
"Wait a minute" Mulder suddenly said, stopping they're walk. Dana was very much delighted with the partner's reaction. She stopped just a few inches away from their personal space.
"After incestious thoughts, now you're going to narcissism? I think aliens are better reasons for your romantic viewpoints." Mulder chuckled; then seeing Dana's unamused face retorted back with a serious comment "Considering that you're right. Then your theory pretty much explains same sex marriage. I mean somehow one might be reincarnated again with the same gender.. Expanding your theory,..well, It might get nasty as other can be reincarnated as animals the way Zen views perceived it.... Now that's beastiality"
Mulder was waiting for an opposite reaction but Dana formed her mouth into a smile. "You remind me of me sometimes." She was moving slowly towards Mulder taking one word at a time. When she was just a few inches away, she stopped and tapped Mulder's chest strongly with the folder she was holding.
"Too bad I don't like dumb ass that much." then she walked away leaving Mulder lost in thoughts and silently staring.
