Jas is going to school and Jody was able to get an application form for the SPED program in Kalayaan; a special school for gifted youngsters. So we began answering the parents' questionnaire last Sunday while Kulet was playing at the McDo playhouse.
One thing I learned from the form, when you're a parent you tend to exaggerate on your son's accomplishments. Well I know that Jas is smart and is ahead of his age, but I can't seem to avoid on thinking further more. When asked if our son can play any musical instrument, I visualized him playing the guitar, eventhough he only pretends to play it most of the time. Whenever asked about his artistry, I imagined that his drawings are of da Vinci's equal.
Good thing Jody and I answered it together, because we ended up either nodding in disagreement or shaking our head in agreement.
It is a large phase in our son's life and we want to give him all the support he'll be needing, the way my parent's forced me to wake up early not to be late for work..err. school.
So is your son GIFTED? No doubt, he is.
